In partnership with DRI and SMA, The municipality project highlights several areas of the municipalities to include roles and responsibilities. It also emphasizes the vital role of the youth by promoting the principles of local democracy and sharing values within their communities.

Municipality Training Methodology

The concept of the training adopted in this project is to prepare and motivate the Lebanese voters to understand the municipality election process imposed by the law, as well as preparing young generation (new voters) to participate in the elections and post-elections. This activity also emphasizes on the eligible participant's right to vote and make change.

This campaign covers the Lebanese people diversity in its different geographical distribution where Lebanon is home of eighteen religions.

Objectives

·         Introduce the municipality election law rules and format.

·         Develop participants’ capability skills in the Lebanese municipality electoral process.

·         Build motivation and raise awareness amongst youths to take an active part in the decision-making process on the level of the election.
